Kempenfest 2011

Kempenfest is one of North America's largest outdoor Arts and Crafts Festivals. Consistently voted as one of Ontario's Top 100 Festivals and Events, Kempenfest has something for everyone. At the core of the event is the 375+ exhibitors in the Huronia Fesitval of Arts and Crafts - all original art and craft exhibits - no imports and production material here - meet the artist who is on site selling their crafts. Next is the Optimist Antique Show with 35 antique dealers - one of the biggest shows in the area - be sure to come early for the best deals. Do not leave the kids at home -- at one end of the event is the Roberston Amusements Theme Park - one of the cleanest, friendliest and professional midways you'll ever find. At the other end is the YMCA Kids Village - a safe and fun area with jumping castles, face painting, and lots of great activities for kids. Supporting the event are six food outlets run by various service clubs and non-profit groups. And finally, one of the biggest parts of Kempenfest is our entertainment - three stages, the Lions Blue Sky Theatre with local talent, the MacLaren Oasis (licensed) featuring Jazz, Carribean, Folk and more during the day, and Indie Rock at night featuring Cuff the Duke, ZEUS, Fox Jaws, Paso Mino, The Junction, Dave Thomson, Dinsoaur Bones -- and the main stage at the Rotary Beer Garden featuring top Canadian headliners at night and lots of great local bands throughout the day - Contemporary Rock kick off on Friday night with Salute to the Troops Marquee Rose and SLOAN, Classic Rock Saturday with Eagles Tribute by Hotel California and JIM CUDDY BAND, Country Sunday featuring High Valley and DERIC RUTTAN, and Rock n Roll Monday with the Martels.
